Anyone running a KB 6psi w/ all stock??

A 2v is safe at 400 rwhp with a good tune so why not do it right up front. Intercoolers make a big difference. Getting an I/C later will cost more (extra labor) and you'll miss out on the power while you're waiting to get one.

What about all the people with the cobra killer kit, they have no intercooler. I am really curious about this KB 6psi kit as well. I really want to know how it compares HP wise to the CK kit. Everyone says to get the 9psi right away but that is a big jump in price and not everyone wants to be that close to the limit of their stock motor. Personally the 6psi KB seems like it would be ideal for a daily driver and for someone who wants their car to last a long time. I just want to see more dyno #s from people with this kit, not just from KB website.

You should be able to run it safely at about 8 psi (just get the 8 pound pulley) on 93 octane gas i might add. I plan to get the 6 psi kit because im not going to have another 1100 to just blow on buying the intercooler. BTW, i checked with KB there is no penalty if you wait on the intercooler. It just costs the difference between the two kits ($1,100). Later down the road you'll just have to basically put the blower unit off and reinstall with the intercooler...thats the way i understand it.

im interested too, 303 is very low, those are vortech/paxton numbers right there lol

none of them should be 303 (thats extremely low). You should get pretty close to KB peak numbers with vortech/paxton sc's.

I too am planning to buy the 6psi kit. The way I figure it, the 6psi kit with 4:10 gears should compare pretty good to the 9psi kit running 3:73 gears. If I take the projected tourqe for the 6psi kit and multiply it by the rear end ratio (4:10) it comes out pretty close to the 9psi kits tourqe multiplication factor at the wheels. I might also add that it should be a little safer on the engine since I would be running less boost. I would also think that I might get into boost quicker with the 4:10's

Well the truth is between 1000-2000 rpms your going to be at 90% of maximum boost already. The 4.10's are not going to 'get you in boost quicker' in reality. It will however get you in your engines powerband quicker which is always a good thing. 4.10's on a stick shift + kb instant boost is some mad tire spin lol.

BTW, let me know if you guys find out when tim's kit will be sold, the price on the intercooled & non-intercooled kits, and any other information yall can find out.
