I looked everywhere and found three manuals. Yellow, white and windveil blue. The blue had the grey interior that I'm not very fond of so it wasn't an option. The white one had dealer add-ons that looked like hell and they were charging an arm and a leg for the stuff. The yellow one was a premium with black leather and it was just right. Snagged it for $389/month.

I have a buddy who works in Michigan and he told me about the deal because he knew I was looking for a new mustang. He was able to locate about 7 of them with manuals with the colors I wanted. All were gone or non tradeable for him except a silver one and my yellow one. I almost ended up with the silver on black with the same options but the dealer he was trying to get it from backed out of the deal, so I ended up with the yellow one. Actually glad I did because I really am digging the yellow now. One trip to Dearborn later, and here she is.

I read on a website that to get the 0% for 72 months you had to have a 10% downpayment. Anyone know if that is true? I've only seen it mentioned on one site.

I put no money down except for the positive equity I had in my old car as a trade-in. There is absolutly no reason to put money down on a no intrest loan. Invest the money and get the 4-5% intrest on it.

Go to fordvehicles.com and search dealer inventories to see if any 06's are left. I have heard some dealers in my area who are still offering the 0% deal. Officialy though, the Ford sponcered deal is over.

here are the current incentives for remaining 2006 cars:
0.0% APR financing for 36 months
1.9% APR financing for 48 months
2.9% APR financing for 60 months
5.9% APR financing for 72 months

How could a dealer offer 0 percent on his own? Or why would a dealer? That's a lot of interest someone would have to eat.

I tried to buy several but all the ones in a 100 mile radius around me in the color I wanted (torch red w/crimson leather) were already modded with Rousch packages. My local dealer finally found one in Mt.Vernon Ohio which is about 512 miles away from me in NC. I got an 06 Torch Red Mustang GT Premium with Crimson Red Leather and the interior upgrade with the matching floor mats door panels. It also had an upgraded T-Rex grill which I really didn't want but looks really good. I bought it for my x-plan price (less than invoice) and at 0% after trading my 2006 Toyota Camry my payment is $445 a month almost $150 cheaper than my sonic blue 05 was. I am very happy with this car.

The dealer I bought my '06 from has a big electronic billboard, and today's advertisment read " 0% 72 months is not over!! "
If someone is still trying to get in on this, check with your area dealers.

Hey, your car is coming from just up the road from me, well 45 minutes or so. Its 1 of those classic small town, 1 make dealers that seem to be falling by the wayside.

They located my car on Labor Day but we couldn't get ahold of anyone because the dealership was closed. That explains why they were closed. We were on pins and needles wondering if the car was even there. Luckily it was. Is Mt. Vernon, OH a large town?

Maybe 25,000-30,000 as the county seat of a agricultural county that hasn't been totally ruined by the strip mall/WalMart/Lowes effect. It still has a viable downtown with stores and restaurants and stuff. Pretty nice town that is more like what towns used to be like 30 years ago, w/o being stuck in the past. It's close enough to Columbus that the community has access to malls/mega dealers/typical suburban environment so they've resisted that sort of development even though they've grown quit a bit over the last 10-15 years.

Last laborday I bought my 06 Stang GT for cash at Invoice.
But it was Auto and came with a shacker1000..
cars nice but I miss the manual,I was thinking of trading it in for a new 2007 GR manual...But I felt there are going to be lots of changes to the 2008s so I will wait in the Mid 2007 and get a 2008...
