Hey guys, couple things im wondering. What all can be bolted up to your heads as you install? Here are the things im wondering and im 50/50 on.

Shorty headers and roller rockers. is it possible to have those already bolted on when putting the heads on? i dont see the rockers working but maybe someone pulled it off. thanks :D

Headers yes if you wanted but trust me easier if you do it after the heads are bolted on. As for the rockers....no not even pedestial mount. The valve train needs to be set with the heads on the car to get proper geometry.

Building your motor first???????

If you're putting your motor together first on an engine stand, you can mount everything, minus your accessories, and your upper plenum. You can buy a plate that mounts to your intake, and lift the engine and drop it in you car(I just dropped my new motor in). Its a pice of cake that way, and you can have your entire engine assembled, and just drop it in :nice:

Sorry about the off the wall post here, kinda lost track of the original post. I thought......oooops :bang:

If the headers are already installed, just leave them in the bay and work around them. It's not too hard. I actually pulled one of the bolts out of the collector so it would give me some play in the header.

I know this (what I just said) for a fact. I just did it about 2 hours ago :D.

Mike, it's funny that you ask after all the AFR and TFS head debates. I'm putting a set of Edelbrock heads on the car , a cam, and a new intake manifold.

I saw your posts over on Hardcore, what's up with your car?

I leave for vacation on Saturday morning, so I'm hoping to atleast start the car Friday night.

Joe, i'm trying to figure out a motor combo, something 351 based. Trying to gather up all the info I can to do it right and whats involved. I'm trying to do my research on how I can get this to fit under a stock hood to keep my sleeper appeal :D

LOL edelbrock heads after all the debating. The new ones I assume? Those are good heads, my friend has them in his 95 GT.
