That cam is small for that motor as well as the street heat intake.

Comp cam XE274HR, s/h clear w/ stock pistons and the Track heat or RPM ll intake port matched.

Not bad for $3700. Congrats.

I wouldn't go long tubes though. You already have shorties and LT's won't net you much for the $$$$. I would spend it elsewhere. Thats just me.

Heavy vert + AOD = lethargic down low with too much cam; I'd leave the stock HO cam in it -- IF (big if) you're using the car on the street. Hard to help counsel you on the combo if you don't tell us how you're using the car and what you expect from it.

Whatever you do -- add subframe connectors first -- ESPECIALLY for the 'limp pasta' unibody of the verts....

Thanks I was stoked on the price... I am just stoked. The plan when I bought it was to strip it of its heads cam and intake and throw them on my other 89 with the t-5. I would then rebuild both motors and sell the aod equiped stang. But now my fiance magically wants this new one . Now, this new car has way less rattles and squeaks than my other... so I am thinking of taking all of my suspension mods off the old and throwing it on the new. I would have to get subframes for the new one tho as I dont think it has them. I have not been able to get under it because I am suffering from whiplash. I dont know what is going to happen, but I do know I will have the trickflow topend on my t-5 equiped stang, but with a custom cam. Anyway the car rides nice(I have yet to drive it, just been on a ride in it) and seems quick enough, but my dad says my stock 89 seems quicker(he was nice enough to pick it up for me ).

So in light of the new evidence, both cars, what would you guys do. This will be a daily driver, and I am not a huge fan of the dragstrip, the twisties are more my style so I will compete in 1 or 2 autocross events for fun a year. Thanks guys... its boring not being able to leave the house.

Happy Holidays to all!!

Edit: Mr. Yount, thank you for the advice on the subframes. A must for all verts in my opinion
