yep thats what im thinking they said it was the aode pan but i dont agree,
hopefully it is,
although the converter makes noise and the tranny acts weird when going into overdrive, it pops out and act like its in nuetral????? the guy said there was not metal shavings, but the cost to pull and fix a front seal i mine as well buy a new mustang at least 500-1000 diy...i got a guy who will install a rebuilt for 1000,but its unofficial and at his house etc....about an hour away from me....
i dont want to spend that money and buy a rebuilt aode for 750...

quick question are aode is the same gear ratio, this guy might be selling one out of vic or something causing the car to be like a dog!

I had that happen to my AOD. The over drive band is shot! Cost me 1100 to fix it.
If it's an AODE from the vic I would go for it.
Don't listen to Clay about a t-5 swap! Look around in the papers for Mustang parts or Mustangs that are parting out.

yeah no plans for swap

in a shop, front seal bad! and bad od band.....

with oil change, rear main seal, and complete rebuild for 1000.00 with lifetime warranty on parts and 1 year on labor.....
^i found new shop btw, the guys there were actually willing to work with me on the price!!!! and it dropped from 1600.00 down to 1000.00 out the door!!!!!! they are the only few shops that don't charge by the books, they keep it classic, i asked how much for an oil change, he said bring us an oil and filter and 5.00!!!! lol!!!!! awesome!!!!!!!!i know some places do it for 19.99 or whatever but after taxes and some bs. fees you end up paying 30+ for none synthetic oil...i'll always do my own oil changes but still sometimes the confort of sitting in a waiting room drinking a coke is better than crawling under the car and getting oil on your arm......

i don't really have that much money for the car(cleaning out my savings, but i am not in debt right now!)
but i love knowing i my tranny wont crap put on me, when i planning on going upstate for christmas!

yeah and i figure for the money to swap i would be only a litte cheaper than rebuilding this aode with a warranty!!! and there is no such thing as warranty or guarantee with my work!!!!!!!

i cant wait to get this thing back and go run it hard to test there work and maybe even there warranty lol....
from here is some custom cheap exhaust either going to pull from the 88gt and weld in my pypes muffler(don't like them on my x-pipe etc) or despite opinion might go with glass packs after hearing this:
YouTube - My Mustang with Cherry-Bombs

i just want something settle so either one will do,glasspacks will cost45.00, and the pypes equals free, but i can trade my pypes for some flow 40's and have something to put on the 5.0!!! so you know

To be honest, look around the 5.0 mags. You can buy a race aod for a lot cheaper then a rebuild. Im not a 100% sure about the aode's, but I don't think it would be a lot different. It was 2300 to rebuild mine at Amco, but a PA race AOD was 1400 beans! Why not! It's gonna shift a little harder, but hey! WTF!

Cool beans! Do yourself a favor for added insurance. Spend 70 bux and get a tranny cooler. Heat is the aod/aode worst enemy!
