Aod ECM in a 5 Speed?

I recently swaped out my Aod for a T5 and im still running the stock Ecm. Does anyone know if this will affect anything that I should be aware of. The car seems to run ok but im still woundering what is different between a 5 Speed ecm and an Aod one.

There is nothing wrong with using the AOD in a T5. Actually, the AOD is better for the T5. Everything I've seen or heard backs that up. I did a AOD to T5 conversion and I'm using tha same one.

I agree. we are also using the aod cpu with our conversion. I hear it's a little more agressive. From what I understand, the chief difference is that it doesn't drop the rpms as much between shifts as the actual t5 computer does. No biggie.

fyi, using a t5 computer in an aod won't work though.

Very true... who would want to take out a T-5 for a sluggish and non-durable AOD tho... eww

Yes. Both v8only and cjman15 are correct. I am running one as well because I did a T-5 swap also.
