Anyone relaced the seal on the side of the AOD where the shift linkage connects? If you have what dose it entail? My manual doesn't have anything on it. I knew I should have look at it when I had the trans out.
Are you referring to the manual linkage arm- the one that goes into the trans? If so, its seems to be pretty involved...there is an inner and outer seal that needs to be removed, which requires, according to the pretty pictures in my book, the trans to be removed, flipped over, and pan removed. Also, the removal of the arm is towards the end of the book, so there may be more disassembly of the trans required for removal...hope this helps. BTW this is for the AOD, not the AODE.
