Just recently i have been having some transmission problems with my car. Two days ago it was fine and then when i went to go drive it the next day it was acting up. Here are the symptoms: Reverse sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. When i put it in reverse and it doesn't work, the car will start to move if i bring it up to about 1800 rpm but it is a violent movement like it is slamming into gear. Drive works but there is a strange clunking noise coming from what seems to be the back of the car as i start to move forward. If i put the car in reverse and it does work, it will roll back like 5 feet and then just come to a complete stop and will not go in reverse anymore. I checked the fluid and it seemed fine. It was the right color and smell. Would anyone happen to know what might be wrong with it??

Bring it to a shop (someone you can trust),,,I think its time for a rebuild,,or a different tranny!!
