I am looking for info and tips on beefing one up out of a 90. Dont want to just make it stock, like to make one that will handle 500HP or so. Anyone else done their own trans? This will be for a turbo car. I have rebuilt a handful of trans before, just not a mustang aod. Thanks.

Most guys put 4r70 hard parts in them , Freddy brown, lentech , or silver fox valve body.

I am not a trans builder but I have a Freddy brown unit in mine . Full manual vb , trans brake , c6 input shaft . It’s been 1.27 60 foot and 9.2x in a heavy car

Head over to Dan's site. He knows more about these transmissions than anyone, I've run his valve body and other parts/kits for years

I always recommend his or lentechs VB if they want to stay auto shifted for sure.

Freddy brown builds the baddest unit in my opinion if you want to go fast fast . But you are stuck shifting it
