So after talking to my mom a little bit she is ok with me getting an 03 Cobra(I will need her to co-sign, I dont still live at home ). Insurance is only $30/month more then it is now on my 02 v6. The only catch is I have to get my explorer paid off I think I owe around $7K, But I figure I can get that paid off by June(my business cash starts rolling in around may) or if I can sell my car for HOPEFULLY $12K and pay it off that way, but then Im in a bind because my cobra payments will be a lot. The only other problem is I have very little experience driving a stick and Im thinking this wouldnt be the best car to learn on, so Im not sure what I would do there. Either way it looks like I will be able to get one by the end of the summer. I could wait for an 05 but this is way to temping. What would you guys do?

Pleaaaaaaaassssseeee learn to drive stick before you get a Cobra. You owe it to yourself and the car. Find a beater car and grind the hell out of it, not your new car.

If you haven't driven a stick before, shouldn't be a problem learning on the Cobra. I learned on my 2002 GT that I bought...didn't grind it one time. Stalled twice, but that was the first day. Just be sure you have someone in the car that does drive stick to give you pointers.

I would be more worried about a high car payment, especially if you need a co-signer.

it should be easier to learn in the cobra. . . .if you think ur gonna stall it, just floor it!!!! ---------best tip in the book! plus it looks cool, just say you burned out on purpose
