If you are having fitment problems, return the crappy aftermarket ones and go to your local ford dealer. They are expensive as hell, but they fit the first time. Money well spent I promise.
I got some from just about everywere for my 67 stang convertible but we never found the right ones. I went to the ford dealership and found out how much they cost and decided to just put the old ones back in. But they assured me that they would be the right ones. By that point i didnt have much faith, because nothing fit before them, must be something weird about my stang.
67s used a different frame mount than 66s or 68s, and vert mounts are different than coupe and fastback mounts. So having a 67 vert does make things tougher. I put the prothane solids in my 67 vert, I don't think they are as good as the TCP solids but they cost less than half as much.
Do you have a link or something to tell me were to get them or what to get, I am sure in the future i will need them and it would be nice to know were to get them
That linky no worky, but they are part number PTP-6-503.
I should probably mention that there's another thread here somewhere that folks said they don't fit on 67 frame mounts. Summit's site says they do, but they don't list hardtops and soft separately so YMMV. They did fit on mine as the pictures prove.
