I am going to be buying a Comp Cams XE264HR cam, plus lifters and a timing chain soon. I was going to buy them from Summit - cam ($246), FRPP lifters ($120), and a Comp Cams timing chain ($40), totaling apprx $406.00 OR I could buy the Comp Cams cam/lifter kit ($445), and a Comp Cams timing chain ($40), totaling apprx $485.00 OR I could buy the Comp Cams cam/lifter/timing chain/valve springs ($658). My question is - is the stuff in the kit any better than parts you can buy separately or are they counting on people buying the kit "to be sure everything works together" ?
