I believe so, but check on summit or another site that sells gears and see if they have two different part numbers.

all gear ratios for 8.8 should be the same meaning that there is no different part number for the years for the mustang rear end that is a 8.8 but for a 4.6L mustang you might consider going 4.10's instaed of 3.73's since they can revv higher

The 8.8 rear end should be the same. You could always sell the 3:73 to a fox body guy and get some 4:10's!

I say an 8.8 rear end is an 8.8 rear end not matter what its out of. That would only make sense. Well in that case why would ford do that.lol

the Fox bodies had a 7.5" rear end until 1986 when the started using the 8.8" in the V8's only. so you should be good.

'85 GT's were the last year for the V8 mustang to have the 7.5 diff .I use to own one.
And yes the 3.73's are good to go for your 4.6'r.
Like everyone else stated,an 8.8 is an 8.8.

Wow. You guys remind me of the guy in class who would raise his hand after the teacher already gave the answer and say "I was going to say (the answer!)"
