I'm just sad...

1) Your goal in modification is to beat a stock LS1 F-body.
2) Your first mod is flowmasters
3) You have mufflers and a K&N for a new mustang before you take delivery
5) Your answer for those squeeks and rattles is a louder exhaust.
6) You spend the money you withdrew on gas instead of food like you planned.
8) You notice every damn ricer on the road tries to race you
9) You look in the rearview every time you notice Mustang headlights.
10) You recognize the year and trim of that Mustang by those headlights (or tail lights in some cases)
11) You floor it under every bridge and overpass just to hear your car.
12) You can hear a Mustang from a mile away, and tell the difrence between a 5.0 and a 4.6
13) Your windows squeek
14) You turn your music down and roll down your window to hear another Mustang's exhaust.
15) In the short walk from your car into the convenience store, you turn
around at least twice to admire your car.
18) The first thing you do when you get in your car is turn off the T/A

#55 Just happened to me a few minutes ago... It was actually really cool this guy who must have 80 years old flagged me down to talk to me about my exhaust, I intially thought he was going to be mad because it was too loud but it turns out he just bought a 2000 mustang GT as well...

lol, my husband gets mad at me for basically the same thing, cause we have to sit where I can see my car, and then I'm watching it the whole time to make sure nobody parks next to it.

hahahah that **** is awesome im guilty of like everything on that list as is prob evreyone that owns a mustang.

I still turn down the radio and roll down the windows to hear an exhaust even when it 0 degrees outside. Hell yesterday I was walking into the store and turned around to listen/watch a fox body cruise past, and turned back around to almost walk into some dude coming out of the store.

I felt redneck when I'd floor it thru the tunnels/overpasses, but it was sounded so freakin' sweet!

That would sum my list up! haha....those were good.

I can relate to some of the 5.0 since we have one. I didn't know it was that common for the ash tray to not work...thought it was his that was just crappy.

Scary my first mod was Flows...and everytime I see a mustang on the road I look for foglights first right away.

70. Your desktop background is a picture of your car.

For those of us informed and experienced enough in regards to the LS1 and Mustangs etc etc, some things are very obvious yes, but no reason to be ignorant about it. The LS1 is quick, no doubt, it does take some mods to get a 99+GT running along side, but the mustang is a much better car overall.

In the end I take the mustang for just too many reasons. But I also own a german sports car, and some plans have changed, but will hopefully own a S351 next year. It's the perfect car for me, and I couldn't care less if it's engine was touched by the hands of god. Anyways, why is it that Car&Driver and...crap I cant remember, but two other internet review sites said the same thing....and man this was way back, like 4 years ago, but... All of them, made almost identical comments. "The V6 is significantly more reliable than the V8" I believe this was for the '01 Camaro, and also the Ram Air Firebird got similar comments. I don't know for sure, all I can say is in all the research I've done, the modular engines are more reliable, personally, in my life so far Ford has been better, but there's no doubt everyone will have a unique experience, in regards to, well, everything I've mentioned I guess. Half asleep here, ignore my rant heh. Peace 4 now guys, may all the stangs run good and strong.
