In fact, and news to me, it's apparently been law for several years. From Sacremento code:

Edelbrock and magnaflow are there. Auto parts and cars are a big part of the economy in Cali. They dont care about thousands of jobs. Just like that socialist from N.Y. that shut down Amazon. New England is a terrible place full of morons. There coming to Florida by the thousands wanting to change things. Then they cry we need more regulations here. Florida is not what it was. Any of you people who dream of moving here make sure you do your home work.

CT seems to want to kill the car industry too. Gas tax, car tax, and now the governor is fighting for tolls on just about every highway.

Unlike those who proclaim that they will leave the US if so-and-so is elected, or some law passes, I f@#$ing will leave this ridiculous state. The shame of it is that I had always wanted to see what it was like out here. Let me say, it is a state of unbelievable natural beauty and has an amazing climate, particularly where I live where it gets neither too warm nor too cold. Despite the insane restrictions on vehicle modifications, and police attention against us, it has the best car enthusiast and street racing scenes I've ever experienced. Yet, every day I get more pissed that I'm still here. I will leave in December and will never return to live unless things change more than I think they can in my lifetime.

Maybe these politicians are so out of touch with reality and what this country actually needs because most of them are filthy rich and dont have to worry about a thing. They all have free healthcare and live better than 90% of people. A majority of them only sign things that lobbyists pay them for, so they dont have any real opinions.

James, I can agree with you more. This country is headed for a wold of hurt if people dont wake up and start doing something about it. I'm not old by any means, but IMHO one of the biggest problems we are facing right now is the younger generations, mine included, refusal to pay attention and see past the hype of big box news. So many people that I work with, and members of my own family, just eat up all the free everything hype hook line and sinker. Its infuriating. I dont mind helping those that are willing to help themselves, but nothing is free. Eventually the few of us out there actually working wont be able to support the tit sucking masses and then this great country will just be another third wold crap hole, and I guarantee all the sheepeople still wont understand what the heck happened.

At least for now, this is still the best F'ing country in the world to live in! Just ask all the illegals!

Totally agree. A lot of these politicians promise "Free everything" because they think it's an easy way to get votes. We need term limits and we need to crack down on people abusing programs meant to help people who actually need it. At the same time though the middle class needs to stop subsidizing healthcare and welfare for these billion dollar companies who pay their employees nothing. Average Americans suffer from both ends, the extremely greedy and the extremely lazy. Damn stangnet just got political lol.

I don't get why people buy that crap hook line and sinker. Talk is cheap.

Watching the current debates, it's a show listening to all the free crap they will promise to buy votes. At the end of the day there will be no money allocated and it will die a predicted death.

Meanwhile the .gov keeps spending money on stupid crap like the mating habits of birds on cocaine.
