Coming out of the military here and my mustang will be here soon, Need to know if it will pass the exhaust test here in mesa. It has a smog pump on it but no cats. also is there a visual test for cats?? will it pass the sniffer??
Catless won't fly on an 89, I've been told they have visual inspection for anything pre-96.
I've been told you can get a mailbox in Pinal County and register the car there, there isn't any emissions testing at all. Or, you can try the same in Gila County, I'm sure there's no testing in Payson.
it is an out of state car so I have been told that they have to inspect the car for vin. or is that not the emissions place. If it is a different place to get the vin inspected then it won't be a problem.
When I lived in Tucson I had a couple of friends with highly modified vehicles who were able to register them with little trouble in Pinal County. I doubt either vehicle would have passed any kind of inspection.
