Not much, but I'm not worried about racing this one. Still searching for the Fox of my dreams.

How about we make +/- 5 HP predictions? or maybe (if we ever do this) we add up how far off everyone is, and the lowest score wins? like, if i guess 250 for jason and he pulls 256, thats 6. i guess 295 for david and he pulls 300, thats 5. so now im up to 11. lowest wins?

ALSO...what kind of dyno is is? dynojet, mustang dyno? there's usually a difference in them

here's mine.....

The Red Dragon (mine, hehehe. ever seen old school? ) - 240. if i get the tuner in time 250
Jason - 260
David - 295
BFI - 1 Billion
Dustin - 225
John - 205
Matt - 230

My car dynoed at 248rwhp with just prochamber, weld-in flows, 2 of the 3 u/d pulleys, and i think that was it... so i'm gonna say around 260-265 now

Added tb/plenum, 16* of timing, last u/d pulley, cai (if it gives any).. so i dunno

You guys sure know how to lowball. I look at it this way at the track comparison. David runs 10.5, a stock LS1 runs 11.1... how can they both have 300hp ?

or

I can run 11.5 at the track, and a stock LT1 can run 11.7, but the LT1 has about 240-245 rwhp. How could I only make 225 or 230 and run .2 seconds faster than them.

For the rest of my predicition.

David - 330 +/- 5
Jason - 300 +/- 10
Brandon - 250 +/- 5
Dustin - 260 +/- 5
John - 230 +/- 5
Brian Ivey - 700 +/- 100
Carolyn - 300 +/- 5

Dustin, many factors play into track times. An lt1 dynos about 240rwhp. The run about 11.8-11.9's. They weigh about 100lbs more than a sn95.

I have drag radials. My car is lighter than an ls1. I make more power under the curve than an ls1. Peak numbers mean very little at the track. 300rwhp is just a peak number. Your at a peak number for a split second.

Also, E.T. means very little. Look at MPH. That shows the power. Not traction.

An ls1 runs 95mph or so. I run 97.95mph. My car is lighter, I have a steeper gear than they do stock and a bit more power under the curve with drag radials. Does that explain it?

Again, the reason why you could possibly run faster than them is because your sn95 is a bit lighter than an lt1, you have much steeper gearing and those times can vary on the lt1. They can run 11.6 with a 6spd with a good driver.

Many factors. It isn't just power...

You will be dissapointed that we all don't make the power numbers you think.

If you look on dyno sheets here on stangnet (for example). Mach 1's dyno around 290rwhp. Look at other dyno sheets. The AFR/FTI/Eddy combos like I have get 300rwhp +/-. Ls1's dyno around 285-300rwhp. Depending on whether it is a 4l60e or t56.

John will not have 230rwhp.

Stock 99+'s dyno around 230rwhp with a 5spd. 4u2nv proved this with his own dyno and example.

How would john dyno with his non-pi heads/cam at the same as a 99+?

I run 10.65 by the way. Did run that anyways...

Anyways, I wouldn't judge power based on E.T.: Driver, suspension, traction, conditions, weight, gearing, all are major factors and add up. It isn't as simple as just power.

Just wait till the dynos show and will see I would suggest looking at dynos with similar mods and you will see what they dyno...

It will be a fun dyno day, I hope I can make it

I ran 11.1 and i'm nowhere near 300hp, LS1's make a good amount more than I do. Same principle applies with the Mach vs. Me.. The mach ran 11.1 bone stock, but i'm nowhere near that car either.. it's just track prep, driver skill, traction and how hard you come out of the hole.

I would love to see 300+rwhp on my car, but that'll have to come with heads, cams and a tune..

David ran 10.6 and ran pretty even with a 400rwhp LS1 one night with 2 extra passengers (or so called "Shrimps" ) from a roll. But that doesnt mean he has 400rwhp (no offense david)

94-98 GT's run around the 200rwhp stock maybe (not quite sure tho).. So there's a lot of ground to make up compared to P.I. GT's

i dont wanna start a pissing match, bc im not the smartest guy in this thread by far. but you have to consider a lot of other things. weight, gears, drivers experience all make a difference in track times. a 3200lb, 250 hp car with stock gears will most likely run a bit slower than an identical car with say, 3.73s or 4.10s.

i only ran a 12.3 my 1st time at the track. two weeks later i ran an 11.6 on my first run, and the car was exactly the same as it was when i ran the 12.3. that cobalt ss ran an 11.9 saturday, and he's only making about 205-215, but his car is a lot lighter than ours. just food for thought.

get a set of AFR 165s on that thing and then we'll be talking some real nice #'s

we oughta call about scheduling a dyno day down the road so we can all make it. that would be a nice cruise and good times

Right, different drivers, track prep, shift points, power, etc, etc.

Absolutely right...those factors all come into play. I really don't think he had what he said...but point is well taken and no offense taken

The dynos I have seen are around 185-195rwhp for a stock 94-98gt. The 98's have dynoed the highest and usually are the quicker (stock for stock) of the sn95's with their 327 gear ratio option and 225bhp.

It's all in fun guys

ok, well put about other issues. I have raced a couple almost stock 99+ GT's and beaten them with this setup so I have to be atleast in their power range.
