I mean like "I got my days mixed up" (When you dont work everyday is like every other day).

I got there Thur night and left Fri late afternoon.

I was at the Ramada at the end of 630. I spent the day at the Captiol, Clinton Library, Zoo, and Riverwalk.

All in all a nice day, nice weather. Saw a guy with a really nice 65 Dodge Monaco.

Just got done blowin some more $$$$ trying to get my 93 back in one piece. I am still hellbent on driving it to St. Louis to the WFC. Hopefully I will paint the jambs on the front fenders tomorrow, and maybe put them on the car Sunday.I just got done rebuilding the door hinges. The rest of the car is still in the mail on it's way here.

I hope to go, I am going to buy some 3.55 gears though and keep the 4.30's out for a while since my transmission is going to be my next thing that bites the dust. I got my SpeedCal in Friday so I can program it for anything darn gears I want.

I don't care what it does on the dyno.. I'm not driving my car on the interstate on a 200 mile round trip with 4.30's. It is too much drivetrain noise for me and sounds like it is wearing **** out quicker than I want it to.

Does anyone want to drive their cars with 4.30's on a 200 mile road trip ?

You think like I do...I even don't like the 373's on the interstate

That sucks...I knew I hadn't heard much about him and that car lately...

I like the Jeep Cherokees though...those little 4.0L's are nice little engines

Yeah, thats why I am buying some 3.55's so my whole drivetrain will last a little longer until I can afford to replace the transmission and driveshaft. I have driven plenty of 5.0's with 3.55 on the interstate and it is very bareable.

Oh yeah, my 00 GT had 327's with the t45 tranny and 255/45/17's and it rode at 2,000rpm at 70mph...I liked it

My 373's with a t5 (similar ratios) and 245/50/16's runs at 2,400rpm...410's are about 2,650rpm...and it only goes from there. That is just at a cruising rpm...yuck

What's the 200 mile round trip for?.. 200 mile round trip isn't very far. Try going from Conway to Tulsa and back. Not that bad of a trip but it's still 500 miles, all interstate and turnpike. Keeping it steady between 80 and 125

If you drive slower, it's not gonna be that bad. If you're only making that trip once, then don't waste your time or money on 3.55's.. it won't be worth it. Just drive slow and take it easy and it'll be all good

fine, you drive my car and I'll drive your car. You can pay for the repairs if needed on my car afterwards. Trust me, you have a way better stock transmission than I do. Along with just 3.73s.

I am putting 3.55's in to save my transmission/driveshaft until I can get upgrades for them. Plus I can go on the interstate for long distance with 3.55's versus 4.30 stock drivetrain wreckers.

I wasn't being a dick, so cut the **** about "fine you drive mine and i'll drive your's and you pay for repairs".. You should've thought about that one first, dont ya think?

On a side note, brandon's 4.10's don't seem very bad at all on the interstate from what I can tell. But, that's only me riding, not driving.. I'm sure it's the same, it doesn't run THAT high of rpm's and 4.30's are barely any different than 4.10's ya know.. Your car would feel a lot smoother on the interstate if your gears were installed properly, if they're vibrating or whining or anything.

Man, that's not much of a difference from the 3.73's! That's actually kinda surprising to me. My car runs at about 2100rpm in 5th gear with 3.73's and 285/35/18's.. altho it's a T-3650, not a T-45

Thats great man, but there is a difference between the two tranmissions. One day you will have to drive mine before I change the tranny out and you'll say man what a piece of **** the 4.30's with a stock 140k mile t-5 is.

I dont think you newer gt guys with the t-3650 know much about the t-45 with high miles. When I get a new transmission and aluminum drive shaft then I will not complain about my 4.30's on the interstate.

I'm not trying to be a dick.. I just want to make sure you understand the differences between a high mileage transmission that has been banged on before and a newer, better transmission with less miles are.

I run 2500 rpm approx at 70mph on the interstate. Since my transmission is so worn out along with the 4.30's it isn't a good combination for long trips.

A t5 and t45 are two different transmissions.

My tranny has roughly 120k on it I figure...I'm going to run redline synthetic in it when I put it back in.

With traction a steeper gear can be harder on the transmission...

I added an aluminum driveshaft and noticed nothing. It has gave me more problems (rubbing) than good. I didn't feel one single thing. It does look good though

I really want a world class t-5 but the 94-95 input shafts are longer and there are no shafts you can buy for it (atleast from the people I have talked to..) but you can buy the World Class t-5 rebuild kit for the 94-95 so I think I'll go that way since I do not want or have the need for a high dollar tremec and the other goodies you need to go along with it.

I will do the aluminum driveshaft though just to save some weight and I think it lifts a little bit of the load off the transmission. I'll have the new clutch installed also.

I have the clutch, and the rebuild kit + labor is gonna cost me around $700 through some connections.

I am still planning on going to St. Louis. I am not driving my car due to the c4 and 4.10's are not friendly for long distance. I am driving the 4 door F250 so if anyone wants a ride just find a longer trailor so that I can get my car and another car on there. My truck get 12 miles to the gallon pulling one car or four cars.

I have a 95 t5 in my car. Carl told me they changed the input shaft on it. Seems to work okay.

The aluminum driveshafts main "goal" is to help get rid of some drivetrain vibes. No performance gains...you got the right idea. I don't think it is worth $200 bucks where I got it...it used to be about $150 back in the day. Check out www.buyfordracing.com. They still may have them for $200.
