ATF for your power steering, Who does this?

Hey there I read in my chiltions and hanyes manuel that is says to use auto tranny fluid for power steering, does anyone do this.?

Most of us do. It costs less. Dont use Type F trans fluid. Use Dextron. I have noticed the old Type F stuff is kinda gritty, and I wouldnt want it in my pump.

Fords use Mercon V, but Dextron is better IMO.
