Attaching Seatback Carpet on HB

I've replaced all the carpet in my 90 GT HB and am now tackling the hatch area. After FINALLY getting one seatback done I'm wondering if it's easier to take the other seat out rather than manuver around like I did on the first one. This is a BIG pain and I'm hoping somebody has some advice to make the last seat less time consuming and less skin loss from my finger tips.
