ATTN: Late 07 and all 08 drivers

You guys have updated spark plugs. You DO NOT have to worry about your spark plug breaking off and falling into the head.

New Style vs. Old Style (new on top, old on bottom):

I am curious now. My 07 has only 10 bolts on the valve covers but my build date shows to be 12/06. This seems this car would be considered a 2006 but I do see a big 07 on the engine. I will pull a plug this weekend since I only have 4k miles so should not break, finger crossed, to check which type of plug I have.

Seems to me that someone from Ford should be able to give a production date for the change over. Also, is there any other way to tell without actually pulling a plug. Can anyone get an '08 and an earlier/old style year side by side to compare for tell tale signs of the change?

You would most likely have the older style 2 piece plugs. It seems that most of the cars built in the year 08 are the new style plug.
