Good News from Detroit News Online...

Ford said it was pleased with the results for some of its new offerings, particular the new Mustang. Sales for the Mustang were up 12 percent compared to a year ago.

That is definately good news. But, how can they make those claims when these things have not even been fully rolled out yet?

Say what?

It's pretty easy, the Ford sales #s are the # of Mustangs that were sold during November. That is the # of cars that customers actually took delivery of. It's plain and simple.

Ford was crowing more about retail sales of Mustangs being up 50% in November than the 12% overall November 04 vs 03 sales increase. Ford must be limiting how many '05 Stangs the rental companies and other fleet customers get.
