The owner of that car, named Ken, was an internet buddy of mine for a couple of years before the crash. He was not the guy driving the car, and may have been the guy filming. The car was rebuilt, but it was never the same afterwards. It the tree bent the frame and 're-angled' the shock tower.

Oh, and BTW, that accident happened around 8 years ago... probably 2002-2003 time frame.

I've seen the video before... Still makes me cringe. God knows why anybody would auto-X in a tree-filled parking lot. Hell, only God knows why there would even be trees in a parking lot like that. Seems like you'd have issues with dead leaves in the fall.

Surprising that they would set up in that lot. Its always safety first.
