Automatic Gauge Sweep?

Is there any way to have my gauge cluster automatically sweep on startup. It's a pretty cool feature of the cluster test mode; I'd like to have it all the time. Any ideas?

I know about unplugging the battery, and how to enter the test mode.

I'd like to have it do a sweep everytime I start the car without having to do anything to force the test sweep.

Install a battery kill switch in side..... flip it everytime you kill the car?

Not what I had in mind. With that solution I'd have to reset my stereo settings all the time.

ive always liked that idea since driving a vette some years ago, gauge sweep ftw!

find the constant 12v wire into the cluster and cut it. then tap it into the switched source.

I'd be wary of doing this as removing and readding power to the cluster constantly may cause some pretty bad issues to its onboard chips.

Same idea as turning on and off a light constantly burning it sooner than just leaving it on at all times.

what if your car DOSNT do the sweep when you unplug the battery, i ALWAYS work on my car and unplug the battery but i NEVER get a gauge sweep ..??

you cut the constant power to cluster, your PATS not gonna work anymore
