Automatics with 4.10s

Did anyone run their car at the strip before and after the gears? I'd like to know how much your actual 1/4 mile time imroved with *just* 4.10s and street tires. Thanks

BTW same question for X Pipe and mufflers, how much did your times improve after JUST O/R pipe and mufflers? Thanks!

I've only ran the 1/8 with a 4.30 and my times went from an 8.96 to the low 8.60's. The 4.30 gear really helped and its not all that bad on the highway with the overdrive.

don't know about the gears.. because i haven't yet installed them... but the x pipe and mufflers only knocked off like .2 1/4.

I ran a 13.8 at 98 with stock mufflers and hpipe..

ran a 13.7 at 101 with offroad xpipe and dynomax mufflers.. as you can see I dropped a tenth but gained 3 MPH.. thats big news with that..

I never ran mine at the strip prior to the 4.10's.. but of ALL the mods I have done.. the 4.10's/chip were DEFINITELY the best for the auto....

Thanks for the info guys. WRXracer, you've got a factory freak! Just wondering, I have a O/R pipe and Dynomax Bullets sitting in my living room waiting to be installed. They won't be going on this mustang, they'll be going on the new one (getting in a week or two, hopefully).

Which dynomax's do you have? Bullet race mufflers? If so, hows the sound? Very loud? Just overly loud and overpowering, or loud with a nice sound?
