I recently picked up a used Autometer monster tach, It was out of a 4 cylinder car, when I hooked it up is was 1000 RPM off, Can I fix this? I was reading somewere that there are wires you clip when putting it on a 4 banger.

Like other stated on the rear part of the tach there should be a toggle switch with and it should denote number of cylinders
