I recently installed the temp gauge but it isn't working? There is a black and white wire for the light and another for the sending unit. I put a T on the intake to run both the stock and autometer temp gauges. I then connected the other wire to the sending unit. Am I missing something? The only thing I can think of is there is another wire I might have missed?

Undo the T and reinstall the factory sender in the correct location. Find someplace else to put the Autometer sender. The T fitting will only ensure that neither sended sees a correct temperature.

Pretty hard to mis-wire one of these. Hot 12V, ground, and sender wire.

I gonna install it on the block on the driver's side tomorrow. I just can't figure out why it isn't working right now?

When I did mine I had to solder a ground onto the top of the sending unit. I had problems getting it to work and auto meter told me to do that. I am also not running a T. Simply because they aren't as accurate, I just have my SU in the stock location. Well if you need anymore help just post here of PM me. I will check up on yah to make sure all is well.

You can cancel that T fitting. I put a 2002 motor into my 96 which has two temp sensors. Someone told me to just use a T fitting because the '02' motor intake had one orginally. So I put it on and my fan wasn't comming on the fluid just wasn't getting up there til the car overheated.
