Hi guys
I've been working on my buddys 67 fastback getting it ready to paint
on the left side botton of the back glass frame there is a small hole.
is this for draining water into the trunk area?
or should it be plugged?

been working hard ,hope to have it painted in 7-10 days
the power tour is coming quick

Nice car, very little rust, 2"holes in 1/4s ,and the front corners of the doors
The worst part was the new shelby style hood

I'll try to get the wife to post some pictures.
thanks rod

The 65/66's have a hole just ahead of the rear wheel wells that were used to drain water that come in through the vents. Am sure the 67/68 have the same set up. The hole got stopped up and water remained in the car and then the rust stories we all know about.

I would not plug any holes used for draining water from inside the car.

Yup, there should be drain holes on each side of the lower rear corners, I always wondered where the water was supposed to go also. I suppose they figured it was better to let the trunk smell like stagnant water than the back seat.

The right corner is solid, and the left has an oval hole.
We found it when I started to wet sand the roof
and the water ran into the trunk and down the side where
Gunny (the owner) was welding the 1/4 panel rust holes

I wasn't sure if it was for draining or just a mistake

thanks rod

Diane just threw a quick page togeather
hope this works right,
