I wanna know why my car is backfiring, If I rev it to like 3 grand it pops like 2-3 times during deacceleration. I have no cats and flows and equal length headers, is this why??? Can somewon tell me the correct firing order for a 93 motor 5.0 ???, I tryed for the hell of it to unplugg my 02's when I shut it off and dis and reconnected the battery and started back up and it runs the same, could it be my o2's are bad??? thanx for any help

if it's like gunshot loud, you have a problem ...if it's a milder pop, that is normal due to the open design of the flowmasters,:worship: added to the fact you don't have cats to slow down the airflow

backfiring or after firing? a backfire is through the intake and an afterfire is through exhaust. Find out where its coming from.

Mine does the same thing, I'm not too worried about it, it does it a lot more since my msd install...I know the 4.6's do this a lot too

Not for sure but someone told me that if you have an exhaust leak it could suck in air on decelleration and cause it to make popping sounds.
