Backup lights do not work.

1994 GT 5 speed. Backup lights do not come on. Bulbs OK. Where should i look for the problem?

mine dont work either....but somehow i always pass safety inspection

There is a switch on the driver's side of the transmission that turns the backup lights on. It has two screw studs sticking out and uses a snap on type connector. This switch will quit working and the lights won't turn on. Mine has high resistance so the backup lights don't work.

and i have an aftermarket tranny i guess thats why

T5's, Tremec 3550 & TKO all use the same switch, wiring & location .
