Bad Brake Pedal Rod? Or Just Bad Switch?

2003 GT Brake pedal stop light switch only works when i press to the bottom of the pedal. I replaced the switch but now its doing it again. Anyone have a fix for this? Also the switch wobbles a lot, is that normal? Or if there is a thread with this fix can someone link me to it, i didnt find anything.

Try checking the fuse. I had a similar problem and turned out that I kept blowing the fuse

They light up, but i have to press very hard. And sometimes when i lightly press the pedal they will turn off and start blinking as if it was make a bad contact. All wiring is good it seems to be the switch. Ive replaced it twice and still does the same thing.

There are some bushings and spacers usually installed along with the switch. If installed incorrectly, or omitted, they usually cause the issues you are experiencing.

I'd see if I can track down someone who has a pic of their installed switch. and compare it to yours to see if you are missing any of the pieces or they are installed incorrectly
