First of all, how do I reset the fuel pump cutoff switch? My dad jacked up the car and dropped it hard and it hasn't started since. I looked behind the tail light and the red button won't move (I tried to press it). Also, no spark is coming through from my coil... What could my problem be?
Oh and before this, Sunday I drove the car all day (afetr an intake manifold install) and it ran perfect. After that, I did the base idle reset thing from the website. The next morning, all it would do is strat up, sputter, and die. I tried revving but it would sputter up and down then die. On top of all this, we destroyed my bumper getting it up on a trailer. HELP ME!!!

Cliffs: Fuel pump may be off, no spark coming through, drove fine one day then sputtered the next (after base idle reset and sitting one night)...

Take your ignition module off and take it to a parts store and have them test it. No spark and no fuel tells me that it is probably the module and they are notorious for going without any notice.

Most likely not a fuel problem then. Checking the spark is next.

You already did the reality check on all connecotrs, vacuum lines etc that had to be removed for that intake swap?

The coil is getting voltage or no?

Sounds vacuum or MAF connector to me.

I am also having some similar problems in that I'm not getting any spark. How should I check the coil to see if theres any voltage there? Thanks guys

OK, I finally got it started and running great, even took it for a rip. Then it was idling and i was messing with the timing and it died. Now, if I have the key on (car off) and turn the dizzy around and go past a certain point, the car ""clicks". I hear all the elctrical stuff come on, its weird. The I try to start it again, and it will start then just die.

Try aligning the dizzy with a #1 TDC, ensure proper wire routing and check that MAF to TB tube. If that is off, the car will hardly idle. If I remove a dizzy and stupidly forget to mark it, I always bring the #1 to TDC on compression stroke using a long screwdriver. Once the piston starts to go down set it back to the TDC. Insert the Dizzy with the rotor pointing to #1 on the cap. Lock it down, re run all the wires, try to start. Ignition has to be perfect for these cars to run but the maf to TB tube HAS to be there. My tube came off the other day and I could bearly get my car started until I opened the hood and found the stupid tube had slipped off the TB.

Also, I really believe this is timing because your car will run on four cylinders, it would be rough but would run. Yours is not running at all.

But its weird because it will strat and rev for like 5 seconds very smoothly, then sputter, then die. I tried it with my MAF and IAC diconnected, same thing...

BTW how did u use the long screwdriver in regards to TDC? Did you put it in the plug hole?
