Bad Idle. IAC? maybe?

My car runs fine but when I stop at a redlight or stop sign (or something like that) the car almost wants to die then it recovers and idles fine. It does this also if I just rev the car up then again it almost dies and recovers. I had a bad IAC about two months ago but it wouldn't idle at all. Bought a new one and it fixed it. Anyone think it has went bad again or is it a different problem?

Try checking how fast the IAC recovers rpm lose by putting a load on it by, turning the steering wheel and holding at full left or right and at the same time turn the AC full high, headlamps on, radio on and see if your car almost stalls. If it does I would say bad IAC if not check your alternator output at idle. Good Luck!

Mine did the same thing and I had the IAC replaced! Fixed it until i had to have it replaced again!! Now its fine.

hell yea thats the iac. it may not be bad. just unplug the sensor on it and blow inside to clean it out. debris gets in there and makes the car do that sometimes.

i had that in my 00gt it was dirty maf! could be the iac. but if you have a k&n i'd try cleaning maf with fast drying electronic cleaner
