i had developed a tranny leak at the front of my c4 took it down(with the car about 3 ft in the air) and got the seals replaced put the trannt back in and took it out for a spin, ran good, took it out the night before last and i broke the flex plate, one of the bolts on the bell housing were loose... and it moved and i guess snaped the flex plate.... any advice on how to get all of this fixed and what it will cost?

you can get a new flexplate from summit for around $80, and new bolts for the flexplate to crank for around $25. flexplate to converter bolts should run about 1/2 the crank bolts. you just the drop the tranny, use a trans jack if you can, otherwise a floor jack and a good friend and a strap will do.

are you absolutely positive that the torque converter was seated all the way? If not, you could have damaged the converter and the pump. Or maybe you just had a bad flexplate. No way of knowing until you tear it down.
