wow you sounded like a complete ass right there. Heres some reasons why I'm not putting the turbo back on the car RIGHT NOW.rio95 said:Why don't you just stick with something for once and be done with it. Or do you like ripping your motor apart all the time?? Any turbo mustang is going to blow a HG from time to time. I don't think there is a guy on turbomustangs.com that hasn't blown a HG. Its just part of the game. Also, what do you expect when you're driving around without a dyno tune.
This is what I would do: Get your head fixed, put in some cometic HG's and trailer the car to a dyno and get a really safe tune. Then have fun. Why scrap the whole project??
Anyways, I hope the best for ya.
1. Full time college (15 credit hours) and work full time.
2. My car is myt DAILY DRIVER which means... if I dont have a car, I dont go anywhere... I cant wait a week or two to fix my heads and put them back on.
3. Why RISK blowing the HG again even with a tune, when the stock ones will have to come back off when I put the TW back on. And when the heads come off, so do the headers so its not like I'm making more work for myself, just playing it safe.
I want to see ANYONE on here build their own turbo kit, with a $225 a week paycheck, work full time, go to college full time, while trying to matain above a 3.0 GPA to keep a scholarship so I can continue going to college. I've put forth way more effort than most of the people on here to make my car what it is now, and sometimes it doesnt work out. My heads have allready bene planned because they were warped before, which could have been that way when I bought them.

No I do not enjoy ripping my car apart becuse everytime I do it costs $$$ and a lot of my time. I hate doing repair work, but guess what, **** happens and theres nothing you can do about it once its said and done.
Mikes car didnt last long until he blew holes in his pistons, but he has an 01 GT to drive around, I DONT. I got lucky that the only damage was done to my heads so I can still drive my car from A to B. I guess thats the point some of you are missing. Its easy to say do something, so why dont you try it out for yourself and see what its really like.
The whole project is not scrapped, its just put on hold until A: I find another DD, or B: Find an old notch just for the track.
