Bad roads

My friend's b/f is a truck driver and once got ticketed in Arkansas for driving too fast and too slow at the same time.

There was a cop car sitting on the shoulder so he pulled to the left lane to go buy it. The cop decided he was going to fast past someone on the shoulder but too slow for the left lane. The judge said it was the most idiotic thing he'd ever heard of and threw it out.

EDIT: I've made tons of trips on 40 between 71 & Ozark and I didn't think it was that bad.

Y'all are youngins, Most of my trips in IL were waaay back in the 80's when they were in the midst of construction for 15 years or so, but I stand by my disrespect of the roads in SC. They do NOT know how to lay asphalt or concrete in that state. Then again most of my driving cross state is only on interstate highways.

Oh yeah, that reminds me.......The asphalt in CA has a reputation for disintegrating when it gets wet longer than a combined week. It does actually rain here, too.

You HATE Arkansas, Skywalker?

I live there and I couldn't agree more. I-630 in Little Rock doesn't have a crown on the road for water to run off, the highway dips a little in the middle, causing some nice fun in the rain.
I-530 between Little Rock and Pine Bluff is horrid. Apparently the road crews just like to cut up the asphalt, leave them sit for two weeks, and then over/under fill the holes. It's really noticeable in my 03 Ram where the road somehow is the exact same resonance frequency of the suspension. I swear the bed jumps up about 6" about every 1/2 second. Really annoying.

BWUAHAHA poor bastard.

I thank God that I no longer have to drive through that state on a regular basis.
