Well, i finally got my car running good... till now........

I took her on a little trip (about 45 miles away) through the canyon and on the freeway so i could go to a junkyard, get parts, and to a concert....

All was well till my way home through the canyon, i kept seeing nothing but smoke behind me throughout the canyon. I finally got to a walmart to pop my hood and see nothing but oil all over my drivers side engine bay... It's not coming out of my exhaust, its shooting onto the top of the headers and burning.

Would this be a bad valve cover gasket? here is some photos.

Jesus, i just keep having problem after problem...

Sounds like a vc gasket to me... Hose it down with brake clean once it cools off and put a nice set of rubber ones on it and make sure every bolt is tight

Ya sounds like you don't even have a valve cover gasket on if it is leaking that bad. Kinda sounds like you may have a ton of blow by if it is shooting out that much.. Do you have a pcv system hooked up?
I just barely replaced the PCV valve on it. it has one hose running from the valve to the intake. i found out earlier that day that it did not have a filter underneath the grommet, and a guy i met had one out of his mustang that he stuck in there. when i do the valve cover gaskets im going to take these cork fel-pro's back and get new ones... (oreilly's here is really easy on returns) i am also going to replace the hose whilst i am at it.

yeah, there is a few header bolts that are loose. the headers dont rattle, and are on there good... i tried to tighten/remove the bolt, but i am scared to break the stud off inside. Any suggestions on how to get them out safely

PB blaster and heat...

doesnt matter if they rattle or not. being loose will blow those gaskets out and you'll be running like dog :poo: in no time
