I believe the information is correct as provided by those who witnessed the incident. A car blew its motor on the front straight putting down smoke and oil. The cars immediately behind abruptly braked and darted. This GT350 collected the wall just under the bridge on the uphill portion of the front straight.
The driver was conscious and responsive when extricated from the car. Kudos to the RA Safety Crew!
