I see what your saying, but unfortunately IMO a 92 lx mustang is not a highly sought after classic like a 57 Chevy, 67-68 Chevelle, 68 fast back, etc. The availability and rareness is what makes cars like them worth what they are worth regardless of miles. I think at this point in time you’re still going down in value with time (although probably not as fast as it has before) rather than up due to the fact there are still a good number of them roaming the streets that can be bought for 3-$4000, unless you find that certain someone who is looking for exactly what you have to offer and is willing to pay you for it. But again I'm just playing devils advocate with my opinions and the true test would be to put it on the market and see. It's truly only worth what a buyer will pay for it. I wouldn’t doubt sooner or later someone would pay you 13k. I think it may take a while to find them. Especially since loan value that the bank looks at wouldn't be anywhere near 13k. Put it up on eBay with a crazy reserve and start it out at 1000. See how high it goes and what the market is willing to pay for it. I'd be curious. Again car..

Nope not that curious

All I was saying is a p.o.s '05 Honda Civic with 5 miles on the clock sells for 20K!! There are plenty of buyers in this country that know this LX with 5000 is a better deal at $13K. You find a guy who wants a '90s LX 5.0 hatch, wine colored with low, low miles and there's your best buyer. If he's been smart with saving and he really wants the car, there you go.

"Appraised value" : A few people appraise the car at 18K, you want 13K, but the most anyone is willing to pay for it is 11K ...... is the car worth 18, 13 or 11??

Any car is worth whatever the buyer and seller agree to. So you see, there's not just one number although we'd often like it to be that cut and dried.

I think you could get 10-12k for it,any more than that and you might be sitting on it for a long time.I personaly would keep it.

i say 12k. 13k if 100% stock original.

I think that the fact that 99% of the people who see it will want it,only .9% will be able to pay cash for it but wont cause the dont like something about it... .1% will have the ability to pay for it and have to have that car! BTW sweet car just my .02

I understand all the "its worth whats somebodys willing to pay theory" however theres also a resoanble range of what the car is really worth, I'm just trying to find that range.

I purchased an 88GT convertible with 7000 original miles last year. The car is fully documented and 100% original, including gatorbacks. The car is truly mint and was never in the rain. I paid $13K for it and I am very happy with it. I hope to drive it 200-300 miles per year and keep in for my boys.
