Banshee or CDC Shaker

OK I know the Banshee kit comes with a hood and the CDC Shaker requires I cut a hole in my current hood. Other than that is there much of a difference? Is one Better then the other? Also what kind of HP increase would I see? Seeing as how I would have to ditch my K&N intake kit and throw the OEM back on. Also I guess I would want to upgrade my throttle body at that time as well. This would be going on my 00 GT with 45K miles, K&N intake kit, Flowmaster exhaust, Eibach Prokit, Tokico shocks and rear control arms.

There is another option ... your BEST option IMO. Get the same OEM Mach 1 shaker as in the CDC kit but with the Mach 1 hood instead. The problem with the CDC kit is that the CDC kit has you use an applique trim piece on a cut GT hood, that does not look nearly as good the Mach 1 hood. Check out KarKraft.com for more info. Good luck with whatever you go with.

The karkraft kit does not come with a hood. You'll have to get one from a Ford dealer.

As quoted from www.karkraft.com:

"Complete with Ford Shaker scoop, water tray, seal, air duct, all necessary brackets & hardware! Everything you need except the hood!"

"Order Ford Mach1 Hood Part Number 3R3Z-16612-BA"

Take it from someone who has a CDC shaker hood, get the KarKraft!

What is it that you dont like about the CDC Shaker kit? Im used to doing some fab work and am pretty confident I can do a decent job cutting the hole in the hood. I would rather not have to pay for another hood if I can avoid it. Thats a good chunk of $$$ and I would have more car parts taking up space...
