my A/F went from 14.0 at the begining down to 11.0 at the end of the run. I don't have my sheet in front of me though so I can't be more specific. Also, the numbers I posted are raw and uncorrected for SAE.

Something doesn't seem right. With just an FIPK, plenum and TB it's tough to picture a 4.6 cranking out enough torque at 5500RPM to generate 272HP.

You report:
max hp: 272.4 @ 5501
max tq: 282.0 @ 4772

272.4HP at 5501 implies 260 ft-lbs of torque, roughly speaking, at 5500RPM.

Now, with just a K&N FIPK, my 02 GT made 278 ft-lbs at about 4200RPM. By 4770 though, which is your torque peak, mine was down to 260 ft-lbs, 22 less than yours. At 5500RPM, the torque on mine was down to 219, give or take, 41 ft-lbs less than yours.

Can a plenum and TB move the torque band so dramatically? Can they add 45 ft-lbs at 5500RPM and 35HP? I've seen 5-10 or so for these mods...

Any way you can post these plots?

like i said about 5 times before. the numbers are UNCORRECTED. that means that they aren't corrected for SAE or STD. I just don't know how to do the correction or else I would.

Post the plots. Even uncorrected for ambient conditions (baro, temp, humidity and so on), the numbers still don't make sense. Your power and torque peaks don't even appear, to me at least, to occur at the correct RPM values.

Since when is a 4.6 with just a TB, plenum and FIPK making more torque at nearly 4800 than it is at 4000, Ford's own advertised torque peak? My GT peaks at around 4100-4200 and is very flat from 4000-4300 before beginning and precipitous drop; with the pullies, my torque peak appeared at 4100 (285.9) and by 4800 was down to 270 or so indicating the rate of drop.

"Correcting" these numbers isn't going to move where they're appearing in the RPM band.

Maybe you have a freak engine or something and it actually is doing this...

honestly i don't know enough about cars and engines to understand why the results are the way they are. the only information i have from the dyno tune is the 2 numerical printouts and 1 graph sheet. i will try to scan and post them when i get home but i took the numbers i posted right off the numerical data sheet. maybe the dyno is off or something but the numbers are directly from the information i was given.

I have a C&L Plenum and 75mm Accufab TB and my torque peaks right at 4000 rpms. I have to agree with trinity that something doesn't seem right

when i get home i'll look again at the info i have. also i'll try to get the guy who did the run to email me the files in their original format so maybe someone can open them and read them. other than that, theres really nothing i can do about it except go back and get another dyno run but for much more money.

The guy should be able to give you a disc with the runs on it then you can go to dynojets website and grab the runviewer with that you can change the correction factor anyway you like it.

Ok, I'm back with some very raw numbers.

max hp: 272.4 @ 5501
max tq: 282.0 @ 4772
temp: 61.9F
barometer: 30.02

note: these are uncorrected #'s, so if anyone has a website I can go to in order to input them for correction, post it

Geeez, those seem high.

My dyno on Thursday yielded the numbers in my sig. Uncorrected was only 6 HP (278 RWHP) and 7 TQ (317 RWTQ) difference.

My peak HP came at about 5100 and the peak TQ came at about 4150 or so.

i agree, they do seem very high even uncorrected. however i pointed this out to the guy who runs the dyno and he said he wasn't surprised at all. he even went so far as to state that he was hoping we'd get to 280 at the wheels! needless to say, my bubble has now been sufficiently burst for me to slink back into the shadows.

The curves look about right, but the HP looks disproportionate to the standard 4.6 HP curve. It should be lower as compared to the ones on my car (and I have 52 pulls on mine).

can you think of any reason for that? like the dyno being off or some other possibility?

hahaha well i did have reservations about posting my results because every dyno thread seems to start a flame war, but enough people know me and know that i have no interest in fabricating numbers that i felt i could post my info up and try to get some help with them.
