Yea lighter is better.

The votgland (spelling) springs are about the most moddest drop I've seen. I believe they lower the front an inch and the back only 3/4 inch to give the car more of a rake.

The steeda ultralites/sport springs are also modest lowering the front an inch and the back 1.25.

Those are about the most moddest you'll find on the s197.

255's will work on the stock rims, and for springs, i would suggest the Steeda. they only drop 1-1 1/4" all the way around...
