I've been putting up several threads about my set-up and have been saying that i'm getting l/t and prochamber, but I found this amazing deal for both parts. They came off of paxton novi with over 500 hp. They look in decent condition, here take a look.(i don't know how to post pics so paste the link)

and the x-pipe

So should I buy these or stick to l/t??

I'd say get LT's. The RS car has Bassani shorties and X pipe on it and they are a wonderfull set, but if it were for my streetcar I'd skip the shorties and go for LT's.

stunner, it's 1 to 1 because TMC was saying to get the LT's. ;)

I'm going to have to put in a vote for the LT's also. Once you go LT's you'll never want to go back to shorties. I LOVE my MAC LT/ProChamber combo...the sound and power is great! And so was the fit. But I'd recommend the ceramic coating, especially if the car is a daily driver.

sorry 2-1, i had already made my mind up on l/t and prochamber but since i'm not getting heads or cam any time soon, i didn't think the shorties would hurt especially for that deal. but i guess i'll stick to the l/t and prochamber, how's the sound with the magnaflow, what would be better magnaflow or xr1s?

i have the exact same setup (but i have the Bassani catback as well)....and LOVE them....absolutley LOVE them....you will be happy.....but if your mind is made up on the LT's get em.....thats a REAL good deal on em though....

3-2, will my performance be affected if i skip on the l/t. i mean i'm not doing anything major but basic bolt-ons and cobra intake, ok,ok, what would be better for my application? that's my question

Plain and simple, the LT's will make more power than shorties and the PC will make more power than a regular X or H pipe. If it's power you want, go with the MAC setup. If you want a guarantee that this will be the last exhaust setup you'll ever buy, go with the Bassani setup. But the MAC should last you as well if you get the ceramic coating.

I just think if you ever do get serious (heads/cam or supercharger) you'll really wish you had gotten the exhaust that netted you more power.

first of all, the prochamber is awesome and mac longtubes have come a long way and their new ceramic finish looks great. If you want longtubes, just go with the mac stuff. Also, if you don't do too crazy of a set-up, you could just get a prochamber and skip the headers completely. Headers will do practically nothing on a stock or near stock car. plus, the mac set-up wouldn't be used parts, which would bother me a little.

well if he gets the prochamber and keeps the stock headers, then he will have to buy another mid pipe down the road when he buys LT's....so if thats the case he might as well get the Bassani stuff now.....and as much as ive heard good things about MAC exhaust stuff (Vib) id take used Bassani stuff over new MAC stuff any day of the week...i wouldnt buy ANY other exhaust products then Bassani for my stang....the only thing id think about would be Bassani LT's, and a Bassani shorty X....

what i was saying is he could just get a prochamber and not get headers. I don't know exactly was his future plans are with the car, but if is nothing big, then headers really won't add any noticable power. if he does want longtubes, then yes he should just do it now and get a short pc.

i won't be getting heads or cam any time soon. like everyone in here, i plan on adding these two things but after these mods, i'll be set back on money for some time and i really wouldn't mind buying l/t later with the prochamber. I just wanted to know if the hp/tq difference was going to be drastic between both set ups.

ps, i'll list everything i'm getting with in the next month so you all know what i'm working with and for obvious reasons, i'm not including exhaust:

cobra intake
70mm TB
CAI
aluminum pulleys
aluminum d/s
4.10 gears
msd ignition
ignition kit
tranny cooler
tornado

THAT'S IT!!!

u know the litttle spiral thing u stick in the intake piping? :)

Nick

what he said. a lot of people have told me that's it's a waste of money but none of who said that have tried it. i put on the cai on my past car and felt nothing, and when i installed the tornado, i felt a difference. nothing major, but it did feel better.

should i just get the K&N FIPK, i also tried this one on my first mustang and i really felt the difference with this one. it was an aode vert just like the one i have. i might just get that with the tornado. another question for you all, is the 70mm TB too big or is it just fine?

OH, I knew what it was... I just meant "you are joking right?"
I've heard nothing but jokes about that thing. I see you at least have that listed last on your list.... I would wait on that one until you can get to a dyno and try it right then and there with a before and after trial.

like i said, a lot of people joke about it but have not tried it. fwiw, my past car had 3.73 gears, 5speed, shorties, h-pipe, flows, pulleys, cai and after the tornado it was giving me over 300 mpt when before it gave me at the most 280 mpt. once it even gave me 320miles. now that was bad ass. i know that that's not performance but it did feel better after it was installed and the gas mileage was enough for me to keep it and buy another.
