Hi

I have a 2000 GT. I am thinking of buying a Bassani kit from a friend, but his car is a '98 GT.

Went to the Bassani webpage, and they show two kits: one for '98, and one for '99-up.

What is the difference between the kits? Will it be too hard to make the '98 kit fit my 2000?

THanks!

PJ

If you look at the exhaust set-up on a 98 GT it is the same as the 99 and newer. The difference between 97 and 99 is the tailpipe hanger is located differently. On 94 thru 97 the hanger goes side to side (left to right) and is located 10 inches from the tip. 98 and newer have the hanger that goes front to back and located at the very end of the tailpipe. For example the MAC catback are for 98 and up, FRPP exhaust is for 98 and up, Bassani is now making the catback for 98 and up. For pruff contact Rebecca Torres of Customer Service for Bassani. In the past I had fitment issue with my Bassani catback made only for my 98. Well I contacted Rebecca of Bassani and she explained to me the problem with the 98 cars. She sent me a new catback and took back the old one. I was one of many people that have complained to Bassani about this issue on the 98 cars. The problem has been corrected, but their webpage has not been updated.
