battery and alarm

would unplugging the battery reset the electrical system and the theft system on my mustang?

Well it will reset you clock and radio. Not sure on the alarm.

When you disconnect the battery, you cause the computer to become reset. This is why the information such as the clock time on the radio will become reset, as this information is stored in the ECU. However, I don't think this is the issue with the Alarm system, as the alarm is actually a seperate unit that sends signals to the ECU, and not vise versa.

Why are you wondering if it will reset the alarm system ?
