Battery Light

I was on my way home tonight and I was ****ing around, and I have an auto so i put the car is first and hit and shift it to 2nd manually then to drive but as I was doing my car hit the rev limiter from first to second. Then my battery light came on. Does anybody know what would cause this to happen.

I swear you would think some one could help me on this website. There are a million members and know one can answer my question.

Did it stay on? It might just be your belt slipped. If it just flashed breifly that is all that happened.

it stayed on, the alternator is dead I got it tested today. But why would me getting on it kill it that.

Probably was going out anyway and the extra strain just konked it out.
