Battery Problem

Problem just started today. When im driving the car, sometimes the battery light in the dash will flicker on and off. It will come on if i really get on the gas and sometimes it will come on when i barley tap it. Any help will be appreciated. I would rather fix it instead of being broken down on the road if something happens.

go to autozone and let it run test on your battery and alternator.
