Battery problems

i have a 1990 gt. Every time i drive the car for about 30 min it drains the battery and then has a hrad time turning on. the temperature is fine but i notice that the battery cables get really hot?? What does that mean?

Have the alternator tested and look for bad battery cables or connections. Resistance in wiring and insufficient flux can cause hot cables.

Don't drive it like it is - this is a big fire hazard right now.
