Battery Question

What model Optima red top battery is best for my 1989 Mustang GT? ... for now it will be mounted int he engine compartment... perhaps a trunk mount later.

I'm using an Optima 34R red top in an alumnium box that I built mounted in the trunk. I've had it for four years and still works the same as the day I got it.

I am going to use an Odyssey Battery in my 92 as the Optimas look too tall to fit under the hood.

I have a red top optima in my car, but i don't remember what number it is. I didn't have a height problem either - i did have to run the lower installation tray that came with it. I'll check when i get home tonight and post what number it is. There is a picture in my photo album.

edit - take that back, the system will not allow me to upload the pictures of the engine bay with the red top.

The Specs for the Optima say something like it is over 8" Tall, my Stock Battery is in the 6.5" Range and is kinda close to the hood, there is no way I could wedge a battery that is 1.5" taller in the stock location.
