battery tie down..

anyone know a better than stock battery tie down kit??? i just orderd an optima...

Check ebay. I got a holdown for mine there and just drilled a couple holes in the inner fender and fabbed up an aluminium L bracket which uses the power steering bolt hole to mount to.

You can always use this as an excuse to relocate you battery to the trunk..

Wow those battery hold downs are pretty nice. I was wondering where I could get a battery hold down too. I just put in a Yellow Top Optima but the stock hold down isn't holding the battery. I guess that might justify spending the money.

When using an Optima battery in a Fox body you will need to get the hold down adapter in order for the stock battery wedge to securely mount the battery. Optima used to send them out free of charge, or maybe an Optima dealer carries them.

HAHAHA....I read your post and then I looked in the top that I took off the battery and the tie down adapters were all in there. DUH I guess I should have looked in there. thanks.
